Our baby girl is ONE YEAR OLD!
She is so beautiful, smart, fun, funny, cute, sweet, expressive, ...the list goes on and on!
She has been very busy this last month - lots of playing and cruising! We have been cuddling her lots and making sure we enjoy these sweet moments that our baby is still a baby, before she becomes a toddler.
Emma came back from the beach (right at 11 months) acting a little more grown - I guess because she watched and played her big cousins for a week. She now hugs and kisses all of her "baby" stuffed animals - so sweet...and she gives us hugs and closed mouth kisses (still sometimes they are open mouth slobbery) more often! Cousin Levi taught her a new word, "goal". Once we were home, instead of calling balls "ball" like she did before, she called them "goal". She started raising one arm or sometimes both when saying goal. Thanks for teaching us cool things cousin Levi!
Emma has now done the sign for "more" when eating four times. You would think for a baby girl who loves to eat so much, she would be doing this sign more often!! She has tried some new things in the last couple of weeks, including cows milk and sugar (testing her yogurt & sugar cake icing)!
In the last couple of weeks she walks holding just one of our hands...sometimes. She still had rather have two hands holding her as she walks, as she she is a little cautious!
This last month, she started helping out - by "sorting" the laundry, stepping out of her shorts/pants/skirts to help me get her undressed for her bath, she helps wash her shoulders in the tub, she really thinks we're gonna let her grow up and be a big girl!!?!
