12 Months!

Our baby girl is ONE YEAR OLD!

She is so beautiful, smart, fun, funny, cute, sweet, expressive, ...the list goes on and on!
She has been very busy this last month - lots of playing and cruising!  We have been cuddling her lots and making sure we enjoy these sweet moments that our baby is still a baby, before she becomes a toddler.
Emma came back from the beach (right at 11 months) acting a little more grown - I guess because she watched and played her big cousins for a week. She now hugs and kisses all of her "baby" stuffed animals - so sweet...and she gives us hugs and closed mouth kisses (still sometimes they are open mouth slobbery) more often! Cousin Levi taught her a new word, "goal". Once we were home, instead of calling balls "ball" like she did before, she called them "goal". She started raising one arm or sometimes both when saying goal. Thanks for teaching us cool things cousin Levi!
Emma has now done the sign for "more" when eating four times. You would think for a baby girl who loves to eat so much, she would be doing this sign more often!! She has tried some new things in the last couple of weeks, including cows milk and sugar (testing her yogurt & sugar cake icing)!
In the last couple of weeks she walks holding just one of our hands...sometimes. She still had rather have two hands holding her as she walks, as she she is a little cautious!
This last month, she started helping out - by "sorting" the laundry, stepping out of her shorts/pants/skirts to help me get her undressed for her bath, she helps wash her shoulders in the tub, she really thinks we're gonna let her grow up and be a big girl!!?!

Emma is ONE!!!

Our sweet baby girl woke up on her birthday so happy, as always!!

Ignacio took the day off to spend Emma's birthday with the birthday girl!!

Emma did a little playing with one of her early birthday toys from Grammy!

She did some yoga...or was it her 12th monthly photo shoot?!!!

She got dressed up in her kite dress from her Tio Horacio, and opened a birthday gift from her Grammy (a cute birthday bib)!

Then out to eat with a friend who shares Emma's birthday! Emma shared avocado with her momma for an extra good lunch!

We had a photo shoot (yes, second of the day) by the sign I made!

Exploring in her party decor!

She helped bake her cake :)

Emma enjoyed some of her dinner on our "You Are Special Today" plate Sissy gave us!

After dinner Emma tried cake for the first time! She had the first piece of her birthday cake served on the cool plate Grammy got her!

Best part of the day - presents from Grammy!!!

Play time!!

Can't believe our baby is One!!!

11 Months!

Emma turned 11 months in Galveston!!!  We had a morning photo shoot then spent the afternoon at the beach :)

Emma is the happiest baby girl!  She has added the words "baby", "good" and "ball" to her vocabulary and is still crawling crab/tripod style.  She started leaning backwards to help out when she knows I am about to rinse the shampoo out of her hair! She still eats anything we put on her plate - and she loves and devours food.  She really loves balls!  They are her new favorite!  Wonder if it is from us rolling her a soccer ball with every world cup game we watched??  She still puts anything small that she encounters on the floor or table in her mouth.  She fakes picking stuff up off the floor a lot too.  She cracks us up by fake eating things out of the crack between the couch cushions.  Her hair has grown longer and has little curls in the back - so sweet!
