Gifts Galore!

Party girl has loved playing with all of her new birthday gifts!! 

We picked out a play set for our gift to Emma! Emma loves it so far...and it's only half assembled! 

Her boots are made for walking!

Emma took her first steps last Sunday! She walked toward her uncle Albert (or the cheese setting on the coffee table)! Ignacio and Albert got to see, I was at the stove! But...a minute later she walked a few more steps! Then she took a few steps toward Marcus then a few more! 

Yesterday and today she was walking around more and more! 

Here she is greeting her dada when he came home from work!

She wore her tennis shoes to the neighbor's birthday party and she showed off her walking skills!

Swimming Beauty

Emma went swimming in her Grammy's pool the weekend before last! It was her first time in a pool and she loved it!! She loved splashing & kicking!

Grammy was there for day two of "swimming" :)

Now Emma's room is complete!!

Ignacio finished Emma's amazing tree shelf just in time for her birthday! Emma LOVES it! She squealed and clapped when she first saw it hanging on her wall!! She loves looking at her "babies" on the branches and she picks books and babies off the shelf to play with when we hang out in her room. Wonder how old she will be before our wild baby attempts to climb the tree??

This is Emma's bed before we had to lower the mattress because she started standing up and bouncing ;) I think this pic may be from before she was born!

I made the flower canvases for our sweet girl.

I painted the letters to hold Emma's bows and clips!

Ignacio built the blue shelves & I painted the canvases. 

The canvas above the towel rack is from my Dallas shower! Mel painted it and all the kids at the shower put their hand prints as leaves along the branch!

The thumb print tree is from my Mexia baby shower :) Erica painted the canvas!

The top pic has Emma's hand and foot prints from when she was a newborn.

  My mom made so much great food!! I did a few things and Ignacio grilled sausage!

We had a little "game" set up for the babies that was copying a Korean first birthday tradition.  Following our travel theme.

  Emma picked up the paintbrush, then the thread, then the apple and credit card!
